Easter Sunday

Today is Easter. We've had a good Easter. We went to church, came home and relaxed. Then I made cheesecake for our dessert, and homemade rolls and veggies to go along with our ham. Ummm, so good! We topped the cheesecake with this homemade strawberry sauce I make and freeze. It's seriously SO ridiculously good! I really wish I could eat it all night. Or course, then I would gain 5 lbs. So I'll refrain. I tell ya, homemade stuff, sometimes you just can't beat it. I was thinking about store bought cheesecake and it just PAILS in comparison to homemade, by like 100. Mmmmm!

Anyways, here are my little babies (who aren't so little), in their Easter clothes:

I told them to smile, then Anna suggested we do a bunny picture. So here they're pretending to be bunnies. Well, Anna is. I'm not quite sure what Alex is doing. Haha.

Alex wouldn't give me a real smile, so this is the best I got. I love Anna's dress. I kept seeing at Costco and imagining how cute it would look with her red hair. But the smallest size they had was size 8, and she's in a size 6. But I finally gave in one day and bought it. So it's a little big on her, but it should fit her better next year!

I'm so grateful for my family. My kids mean everything to me. Dan is my wonderful husband, whom I love so much. I believe in God and Jesus Christ. I believe Christ was resurrected and lives today. I have faith in them and know I can return to them after I die. I know my family can be with me, too!

There's this video about Christ that my church made, that just hits me every time I watch it. In fact, I have watched it a few times. It just draws me back to it. Here's the link:

It's a beautiful video.

We're not really into Easter baskets, never have been. But this year Anna's teacher did an Easter egg hunt at school and bought the kids all a basket. So we got Anna this My Little Pony I Love to Draw book, that she has been wanting since probably Christmas. She was so excited to get it. We got Alex a story book about a boy and his dinosaurs. Dan got some candy from school, so we gave them each a dipstick thingy. Then he had some jelly beans in his back pack, so we did an easter egg hunt in the backyard, which they loved.

So overall, a great Easter!
