Night Stand: Before and After

Hi, I'm participating in Thrifty Decor Chick's before and after party.

I got a night stand at Goodwill for $10. It's a nice, sturdy piece of furniture.

Before.

After.
Isn't she a beauty? :) I love how it turned out.

The flash makes is look not very dark black, but look at the bed and that's really what it looks like. I sanded it down, primed it and painted with satin finish with Valspar paint from Lowes. I bought the hardware from Lowes as well. I spent $3 for each piece, so a total of $21. I hate it how I spend more on knobs than on the actual piece of furniture.

I would say I spent about $35 in all. I bought a gallon of paint and didn't use very much of it.

That looks awesome! I'm really needing some nightstands to do this exact same thing too. Can you believe how much hardware costs? Crazy.

Fabulous job!! I just posted pics of my first furniture redo. This is only the beginning!! I am amazed by how a couple coats of paint (and lots of work) can totally change the look of something. Great job on the dresser :) I really like the new hardware too.
